Do you struggle with mobility in your ankles? Or do you have a history of ankle and lower extremity problems? Many athletes do, prompting me to create some specific protocols for self manipulation to enhance mobility and function of the foot and ankle. This series will help if you have issues with past ankle sprains, current sprain, or suffer from mobility issues, midfoot fixations, Achilles, shin, and/or plantar fascia problems.
The foot and ankle actually work very closely together to promote stability and mobility in most athletic movements, and often the joints and tissues of the midfoot and heel are as much to blame in ankle mobility issues as anything. The fibular relationships are often overlooked also, these protocols seek to remedy that and can be done in about 5 minutes total before training or other kinds of therapy/rehab.
